Kaffir Lime Leaf


Kaffir Lime leaves - the aroma is  lemon/lime/mandarin. They will keep about 12 mths if stored in an air tight container in the fridge.

Uses: These leaves are indispensible when cooking any Thai dishes. Their flavour blends well with basil, cardamom, cumin, coriander, chillies, curry leaves, ginger, lemongrass and turmeric.

When making a soups, stock or curries where simmering for a period of time is required,  dried leaves may be added, as they are removed after cooking. Just like when you use bay leaves for broths & stews.

You can not substitute when making salads or garnishes, only fresh kaffir leaves will do.
